Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Connections and Firsts
As I look back on 2024, it feels like a whirlwind of moments that brought joy, laughter, and memories that I’ll carry with me for a long time.
🌏 Sydney & Melbourne: I had the chance to travel with my mum to Australia, a trip that meant so much to me. Reconnecting with my old uni friends in Sydney was a heartwarming experience – I’m truly grateful they made the time to meet up. Then over in Melbourne, I visited my cousin and got to see her thriving as a mum to an amazing kid.
🌟 Vietnam Adventures: A trip to Ho Chi Minh with my China gang brought so many "firsts" – a city full of energy, discovery, and unforgettable experiences.
👨👩👧👦 Family Time in Bali: Despite battling a bad cold, our family trip to Bali was special in its own way. It reminded me of how much I value the time spent together.
✈️ Spontaneity with Friends: One of the craziest experiences was a last-minute trip with my Marist friend to Macau, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. Booking the flight on a Sunday to leave on Monday – it doesn’t get much more spontaneous than that! Though I lost badly at the casino (ouch), the memories made it worth it.
However, 2024 also taught me that I need to slow down. I’m realizing that my body isn’t keeping up with the grind I used to manage, and I want to be more mindful of my lifestyle.
Looking ahead to 2025, my hope is to reconnect with more old friends, nurture those relationships, and embrace a slower, more intentional pace of life. Here’s to more meaningful moments in the year ahead!
